The Climate Emergency

The Climate Emergency Action Plan has been approved by the Council. The Climate Emergency Action Plan, submitted by the Hebden Royd Town Council Climate Emergency Committee, was approved by Full Council on Wednesday 14th October 2022 and will be reviewed and developed year after year, detailing all of the ways in which the council will contribute to tackling climate change in Hebden Royd.

Coronavirus Update from Calderdale Council: Tier 2 Restrictions Calderdale has been designated as a Tier 2 High Alert level area in the government's new national tiered approach to COVID-19 restrictions.

October Update on the Hebden Bridge Flood Alleviation Scheme The EA is carrying out ground investigation and minor river channel works at a number of locations in the town as part of informing the ongoing design work and construction methodology for the scheme, and has created a Google map to show this work in greater detail. Citizens Advice Bureau - Recognizing that people require assistance now more than ever before, Hebden Royd Town Council is looking to assist and support the Citizens Advice Bureau in returning to the Calder Valley in the near future. Hebden Bridge Flood Alleviation Scheme

Hebden Bridge Picture House has confirmed that it will reopen on Friday, October 30th. After being closed for seven months due to the coronavirus pandemic, Hebden Bridge Picture House reopens on Friday, 30 October, allowing film fans to relive their childhood memories. The Mayor of Hebden Royd has established the #HebdenRoydHeroes Award. Cllr Val Stevens, Mayor of Hebden Royd, is seeking nominations from residents to honor those who made outstanding contributions to the Hebden Royd community during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hebden Bridge Picture House

Hebden Bridge Disability Access Form has released the third edition of its Town Centre Step-free Access Map and Guide, which was first published in Spring 2018. The Big Autumn Clean-up - The goal of the Big Autumn Clean is for the community to come together, clean up their local environment, and have fun while remaining safe at all times.

Hebden Bridge Camera Club Exhibition: The Hebden Bridge Camera Club Annual Exhibition began on the August Bank Holiday weekend. However, due to Covid-19, the exhibition is now available online for the first time. Community groups in Hebden Royd are invited to apply for financial grants from the Town Council's Community Funding Budget. Every year, the Town Council invites community groups to apply for a financial grant from the Council's Community Funding Budget to support projects, activities, and events that benefit Hebden Royd residents.

App NHS Covid-19

The new NHS COVID-19 app is now FREE to download in England and Wales as of today. This app will assist the NHS in determining whether the virus is spreading in a specific area, allowing local authorities to respond quickly to prevent the virus from spreading further and saving lives. Flood Alleviation Scheme for Hebden Bridge - The Environment Agency is collaborating with Calderdale Council to design and build a Flood Alleviation Scheme for Hebden Bridge.
